International Foundation for Integrated Care Virtual Conference 2020

The 20th annual conference hosted by IFIC took place during September 2020, with the organisers emphasising the importance of integrated care at this time. This year's event, like so many others, was reconfigured to be delivered as a virtual event. In addition to participating in the virtual exhibition space, which was a new experience for us! the SCIROCCO Exchange project was delighted to host a workshop titled: Capacity Building in Integrated Care.

The attendees were able to explore the SCIROCCO Exchange Knowledge Management Hub, discuss the use of the maturity readiness levels and hear directly from project partners. The Flanders Region in Belgium, Lithuania and Slovenia, all shared their experience using the Hub to better understand their readiness for integrated care.

This was a very collaborative session, with participation from many partners. Sharing their learning in the session were: Dr Andrea Pavlickova, Scottish Government, Cristina Alexandru, University of Edinburgh, Scotland, Andreja Rafaelic, The Social Protection Institute of the Republic of Slovenia, Slovenia, Elena Jureviciene, Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos, Lithuania; Solvejg Wallyn, The Flanders Agency for Health and Care, Flanders; Jon Txarramendieta, Kronikgune, Basque Country, Tino Marti, EHTEL and Donna Henderson, Scottish Government.
